This morning, the National Post published a column about the Ontario Pit Bull Ban.
The Ban itself is a very controversial subject. If you ask anyone, they'll either tell you about the sweetest Pit Bull they ever know - who wouldn't hurt a fly - or a Pit Bull they don't know if they could trust, or a story about an unfortunate incident involving a dog that may or may not have been a Pit Bull.
The column was also accompanied by a photo of two dogs, with the caption, "Two Pit Bulls."
The photo was of a Pit Bull and a Boxer - it's since been removed from the article (it should also be noted the columnist did not choose the photo herself), but it's available here. The Toronto Star also recently published a story regarding a sort of Pit Bull "Underground Railroad" that's formed since the ban took effect. Read about it here.
The Ontario Pit Bull Ban defines a Pit Bull as a Pit Bull Terrier, an American Staffordshire Terrier, an American Pit Bull Terrier or any dog with a similar appearance - short hair, broad shoulders and a wide forehead.
As a result, it gets kind of murky once in a while - frustratingly so. I am often asked why my two-year-old, purebred boxer is not wearing his muzzle because it is the law - by the people who don't cross the street while clutching their pearls first.
Which raises the question: how well do you know your dog breeds? Below is an excellent online quiz complete with pictures - do you really know your dog breeds?

The average dog poops between a half-pound and three-quarters of a pound per day. That's a lot of fiber for Fido!
It's super convenient for dispensing poop bags in a pinch AND its easy on the environment.
Dogs are particularly fond of cat poop because cat poop is high in protein. I had a friend with a dog and a cat, and he never had to clean the kitty litter. The dog took care of it.

We have 3 greyhounds and as you can imagine there's just a bit of poop to pick up. These are the best poop bags we've found because: 1)They are biodegradable so we can put them in our Green Bin. 2)They smell nice so before you use them you get a nice little whiff of lavender.
3)Compared to many other poop bags they are relatively easy to open... even while holding 3 leashes! 4)They are comparable in cost to other poop bags on the market. 5)I am a sucker for marketing and I must admit too that I love the packaging! Thank you PoopBags!
