DIY Fresh Breath Cookie Recipe For Dogs

Both parsley and mint are herbs known to have properties that help combat bad breath, and these cookies are a tasty treat your dog will enjoy!

You will need

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 bunch mint, chopped
  • 1 bunch parsley, chopped
  • 1 1/4 cup of oats
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp oil (use your preferred kind, whether it’s coconut oil, olive oil, etc.)
  • 2 tbsp apple sauce
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium, onion-free beef broth

Directions

Preheat your oven to 350.

Add your dry ingredients (flour, mint, parsley and oats) to a large mixing bowl.

Add your wet ingredients (egg, apple sauce, oil, beef broth) to the dry ingredients.

Mix by hand until you have a firm dough, and roll it out to 1/2″ thick on a floured surface.

Cut out cookies using a cookie cutter or drinking glass, and place them on a baking sheet.

Bake at 350 for about 30-40 minutes, turning halfway.

Be sure to let the cookies cool before eating them!
